This in not an actual photograph but a 3D rendering of a landscape and a figure.

Minor effects were added in PS to achieve the dramatic light. Landscape rendered in Bryce 3D and the figure in Poser.

    Hello,

I was browsing your galleries and this particular shot caught my attention because of the interesting story it tells. I like photographs that allow me to "step inside the frame" sort of speak and be part of that moment in time.

I like this photo for it's originality that surpasses any technical shortcomings.

    Take care,

    Simon

  1. Turn around and lose the dummy pose! Can we do that again please? keep on snappin'! Cheers, Simon

It depends on how you position the model, if she's standing like than yeah it would be a generic shot, but there are many poses to choose from not to mention actual positioning in the frame...but ofcourse I respect your take on the photo...

    Cheers,

Ahh the beauty of super-wide lens...a whole lotta frame here...I like the sky and ice...but the houses and rail kinda mess with the theme...keep on snappin'! Cheers' Simon
  2. Difficult to find point of fucus...too many subjects doing toom any things...keep on snapping! Cheers, Simon]

    ...Hey Steve,

By all means we all see different things when we look at a canvas, what seems magical to me might appear ordinary to the next guy,the most important thing is to do it your way, with your own style and pay little attention to the critics...

PS. There is an interesting line of focus between the girl on the right and the man on the left, but it's not enough to stand out in all that's going on in the photo. The bride I'm sure looked wonderful, too bad the viewer is looking at her back, I mean if you want to make the bride the focus of attention in the photo photographing her back just isn't the way of doing it, especially with a face of some guy with a beard popping out from behind her head...

    Cheers,

    Simon

  3. I like pictures like these, a good theme, a story, you can walk inside this frame give the guy a quarter and get back to reality...life paints the best pictures...keep on snappin'! Cheers, Simon

I love nudes, but this is too strong for my taste, not to say it's bad but I like an element of "softness" in fine art/nudes...but that's just me...keep on snappin'! Cheers, Simon (by the way, the composition is nice and clean and the door banner kind of helps the strong theme...)

Ahh the age old theme...I used it myself...check it out in my gallery..."The artist is nothing without the gift, but the gift is nothing without work." Keep on snappin'! Cheers, Simon

Well, the tones are wonderful here, the exposure is nice too...the figure in the shot kind of refuses to stand still...almost creates an illusion of constant movement...good eye catcher...I like this picture...keep snappin'! Cheers, SImon

Nice kitty...too bad it's inhabited by an evil spirit! The background just doesn't work here I'm sorry...the cat looks like a zombie, therefore you should have tried to add to that freaky mood...the cat says "Look at me I'm scary" and the background "Welcome to Elmo's World"...keep snappin'! Cheers, Simon

Background is way too cluttered and it conflicts heavily with the theme...the green cast also makes the picture a bit less flattering...depth of field could use some tlc as well...keep on snappin'! Cheers, Simon

I like the skin tones...the depth of field and the model naturally :) The hair looks nice and the flexed arm kind of gives the picture an element of intrigue...call me crazy but I like it! Keep on snappin'! Cheers, Simon
  4. Kids are the best, they always put a smile on the viewers face...forget the dried up leaves, I'm the focus here! :) Could have been framed differently, perhaps the vertical frame would have worked better here...and like I said I'm not so sure about the leaves...keep on snappin'! Cheers, Simon
