Composed the picture using my homemade sports finder. So the horizon
is not alligned. I like Holga's effect around the corners. What do
you think?

Hi All,
Like to get your opinion on this photo and to see how to improve on
it (beside taking the lens cap off the Rollei!) Personally I am
impressed with the quality of scan I got out of Epson 2450.
Thanx in advance...Eddie

Thank you folks for your wondeful comments. Just a bit of a note: it was shot at 6 in the morning - it's actually a sunrise picture!

Time: approx 6 am. Image scanned into Paint Shop Pro 7 and colors
manually matched to the actual slide. Metered from the light area of
the water. Camera set at 1/4 seconds and f16, manual mode.

I love the background, use of flash and the choice of glossy clothing. Very original. However, the wide-angle 50mm lens has blown the fingers out of proportion with the rest of the body and the right lower corner is a bit too bright - steals the scene away from the sunset and the model. I also love the square format and how it's been filled up. Would have been excellent to see the rest of the shoes, though.
Teakettle Junction, Death Valley

Posted
We found this signpost in the middle of Death Valley desert in
California, USA. The only sign of civilization in miles. There were
notes inside each teakettle. One read, "This kettle brought all the
way from Germany especially to leave here." I particularly like the
reflection of the photographers and the sun in that one shiney
kettle. Photo was taken at high noon with no flash available, so hard
shadows were unavoidable.
