1.
well two days later and i got it working, i cleaned the contacts on the battery, and now the camera functions however the screen is messed up and the top lcd doesn't work as in this picture, i sometimes get a glance at the menu so the camera does work, just a case of getting the screen to work properly

 2.
i recently purchases a broken 5d mark 2 from ebay, in the efforts to restore it, when i first received the camera i tested it out and it turned on took around 4-8 test shots and then suddenly the camera ceased to work, since the write light has been intermittently flashing when the battery was in even when the camera was off, after further inspection i located some corrosion on the motherboard which after cleaning the camera didn't respond at all so i replaced it, after replacing the motherboard when i put the battery in and close the door the write light flashes when the door is closed which is whats supposed to happen, however, it only happens when the cf card is in. also upon further inspection, the tiny lever responsible for determining if the card door is open or not is permanently jammed down.
when i turn the camera on nothing happens, the display does not light up neither does the top display after pressing the light button, i had a slight feeling the DC/DC board was broken and after looking at it i found more corrosion. any suggestions as to what to do ?
