I am getting into the world of time lapsing 3d prints, and I'm using an old Nikon D3100 for it for the moment.
The lens that we have for it is damaged, so we are looking to replace it (autofocus doesn't work, and there's a buzzing sound that happens in between shots that can knock the camera out of focus occasionally, even with autofocus turned off)...I'm just wondering, what kind of lens would be best to look for for this purpose? This video was made with the old lens (the one that came with the camera - 18-55mm). Should I use a similar spec lens, or is there a better one for this purpose?
The flicker in the video is a known issue that has since been solved, so I'm not looking for info on how to reduce the flicker (though I am open to lighting suggestions).
