1.
Hi Ruben,

Thanks for responding and sorry for the late reply. After exhausting the options, i contacted Satechi and they shipped a replacement. The replacement worked straight out of the box without any issues.
It was at the end a faulty one. Luckily Satechi cleared it relatively painless.

 2.
Hi Everyone,

First of all, thank you for being a wonderful resource for the photography community. I have referred to your site in many occasions looking for answers on camera setup. I was hoping you could assist me in figuring out my recent trouble as I have not found the answer on google or on this site. Looks like i'm the only one with the issue, but if there is anything google has taught me, is that you are never the only one to have the same issue.

I bought a Satechi WTR-A intervalometer but for some reason the timer would not take any shots. I connected it to my Canon 6D and first tried the setting on Manual, but realized (or i don't know how) that I can't put the shutter in bulb setting under Manual mode (which the instructions say to do). So, i switched to bulb mode on the dial.

Under both the modes, i am able to use the shutter button on the receiver(RX). Under the bulb mode, sometimes the manual shutter button on the transmitter(TX) works (i can't seem to figure out the conditions for making it consistently work). When I half press the TX's shutter button, i can see the greenlight in the viewfinder that comes up when the camera's shutter button is half pressed. But the shutter never opens consistently when i fully press it.

Under the timer mode, the shutter never opens. i can see the half press greenlight come up on the viewfinder, but the shutter never opens.

I tried connecting the cable directly to the TX and even then it is quite inconsistent with the shutter button and the timer does not work.

I even tried updating the firmware to 1.1.7. but, that did not help.

Do I need to setup the camera in any other way for the WTR to work? Their official specifications page does not list 6D, but the Amazon page and Satechi's FAQs lists that it is compatible. Has anyone set this up successfully on a 6D? I would appreciate any guidance that may help and any tips and tricks to make the best of it are also welcome.

Regards,
Silpi.
