This photo was taken at the beginning of the train trip while not far out of San Francisco. Lovely old building. We were stationary for this shot. I think I should have lowered the left side of my camera and I see I included the top of the train window so need to crop that. I would love some feedback. -
What beautiful countryside. I'm not sure if there is a reflection from the train window. I quite like the blurry foreground, showing the fact that we are moving, but I really am a newbie to photography so can someone please tell me if this off-putting to look at. Thanks! -

Some of the photos I took from the train had an obvious reflection from the window. I cannot see that in this photo but would appreciate feedback from those with a trained eye. -

<p>Finally I am reporting back on my California Zephyr train ride and time in Chicago.<br> I managed a few good photos from the train (will put some up for critique). Wow, Colorado is SO beautiful! <br> What an amazing city Chicago is! Loved my time there immensely. Hired a car to visit friends in Ohio then drove back into Chicago at dusk. Frankly, I didn't know a city could look so good. Only problem was I couldn't capture what I was seeing: it would have been great to have gotten out of the car. The large pots of flowers and plants all over the city was impressive.</p><div></div>

In a few days time I will be flying to San Francisco then boarding the train for Chicago. I am new to photography and would like advice on photographing scenery from the train. In Chicago, besides the Bean and starting point for Route 66, can anyone suggest places I won't want to miss photographing? Thanks, Fran
