2.
Hi Ray. Thank you for your response. I think there is definitely some sort of soft, conforming material because I can hear it being compressed as I close the back door. Perhaps the material is too springy and it's pushing the door too far outwards calling the back door to lose contact with the electrical contacts on the body. I will try to clean up the contact a little bit to see if that helps. If not, maybe it will sort itself out over time when the soft material becomes conforming. I will report back!

 3.
Hello All! Forum newbie here looking for some advice with my Leica M6 TTL. I purchased a Leica M6 TTL on eBay in May. The camera was advertised in "near new" condition. When it arrived, it was indeed pristine in appearance. Since I have other Leica's, I put the camera right back in the box and never used it until today! Yes, I was a big dummy for not testing everything.
You guessed it, the meter is not working properly. It's reading consistently at an overexposure at a "single" ASA speed. Regardless of what ASA I set the camera to, the exposure is always reading the exact same and the value is always 5 stops overexposed. I changed the batteries and it was the same. I contacted the local Leica guru, who gave me great advice but he wouldn't be able to work on the M6 TTL due to its electronics and Leica's unwillingness to sell electronic parts.
In the end, I pressed the back film door inwards to see if it has anything to do with bad electrical contact, and voila! It's taking the reading properly at last. Is there a way to adjust the door position on the back door or is it lightly that the contacts are somewhat corroded? The contact does not look discoloured at all.
If you just happen to have similar problem, give this a try and perhaps it will briefly bring your meter bak to life. Now I just need a more permanent solution. Any help would be appreciated!
