1.
Kamero was the name (Tnx Spencer). Made in Japan, 28mm f/2.8, 35mm f/2.8, 135mm f/2.8 and 200mm f/3.3, and (at least at my location) the only mounts were M42 or Minolta MD

 2.
I want to say the name started with a "K", but that was a Woolco brand name. They were well made, didn't feel cheap, and took sharp photos, but I waited too long to ask the "origin" question! Thanks for the answers.

 3.
If anyone recalls: Who make the 3rd party house lens for Woolco Dept. Stores and the Minolta SRT line of cameras? They offered a 28mm f/2.8, 35mm f/2.8, 135mm f/3.5 Macro, a mid-zoom, and a 200mm f/4 prime.
The prices were good ---->Fantastic when on sale. Made in Korea or Taiwan, and didn't look cheap. Even after selling them for several years I can't remember the name.
