<p>Hello everyone,<br> I bought a brand new OMD EM-10 MkII with a 14-42mm lens a few months ago and was using it fine. One day whilst on my travels (currently travelling around Europe) i tried to take a portrait photo and when I pressed the shutter button the camera screen just went black and it turned itself off. It did this a few times which was strange so I ended up avoiding turning the camera that way whilst shooting but now it got the point where my camera when switched on 19/20 times will just show a black screen for 4-5 seconds and switch back off... <br> This is confusing because sometimes it will turn on fine and I can take a random amount of photos before it decides to freeze/go black and switch off. I have tried;<br> - Battery in/out and also charged<br> - Removing and formatting SD card<br> - Removing and giving lens a light clean <br> I have yet to find a formula that gets it at least turned on every time, it's random. If any knows potentially something that could help I'd be very grateful, bought the camera specifically for my 3 month trip and can't use it properly. Otherwise i'll just have to wait and find a camera store of some sort.<br> Nick </p>
