1.
I'm pitifully new at using Photoshop CS2, but I've been learning quickly. Not only do I use it for refining my home pictures, but I design book covers on it as well. There's one irritating feature I've noticed with it, and I'm not sure what to call it. In a word processor it would be referred to as "ruler snap", where instead of clicking and dragging the ruler (to adjust margins or tabs), it "snaps" to the next hash mark, where there is no in between. I've noticed my photoshop does something similar when I'm using the jpeg template for my book covers. The template is a white background with a red line marking the trim edges, what will be either cut off at the edges or extend around the spine of the book. I make my e-book covers by cropping only the front part of the cover. However, I've noticed that the crop feature will only go to the inside of the red line or to the outside of the red line. For cropping my e-book covers, I'd like to be able to crop right in the middle of the red line. Is there a way I can set my Photoshop to do this? Thanks for any help. I'll include a link to an example of the book cover template that I use, so you can see what I mean when I say I'd like to crop to the middle of the red line on all 4 sides.
