<p>Hi,<br> I just wanted to see if anyone has ever had this problem. I am shooting with a Rebel XT and a Canon 17-85mm lens that I've had for a number of years. Last week I started receiving an error 99 when shooting with the lens, but only between 17-24 mms. It seems to work fine while shooting when I'm zoomed in and the camera hasn't had any problems with other lenses. I did try cleaning the contacts. Has anyone seen this before? Does this sound like the lens is just worn out and should be replaced, or should I try to get it cleaned professionally or fixed?</p> <p>Thank you.</p>
