1.
Bill, that was such an awful thing to have happen to you. I hope no good came to the thief in the end.
Great image btw. No compensation but at least you have the pictures and memories of visiting such a fine vessel.

 2.
Thank you each and everyone of you for your welcome comments and advice. They are all much appreciated. I will take on board everything you have suggested before offering it up for sale. To tell you all the truth I am so glad I asked before I binned it.
From the information you have all given me and a quick search online confirms I have version 1.
I can't help wondering if I might be better to seek a local opinion on condition and it may be worth me seeking such verification before proceeding to sell it. Can anyone recommend someone local to Edinburgh, Scotland who could offer such a service?
Thanks again everyone.

 3.
I have come across a camera lens in my father's effects and am looking for advice on just what to do with it. I am guessing options will be to either bin it or sell it but would like some advice on just which option I should go for.
Written on the lens dial(?) along with the serial number is:
LEITZ CANADA, ELMARIT-R 1:2.8/19
Does anyone have any advice to give me please. Apologies if I have posted this in the wrong place and thank you in advance.
Angie
