  1. <p>Hi Daniel,<br> I would recommend the FDn 2/35mm. Rumors say, that older versions should be slightly better, but as I sayed, rumors, and, because of the age, possibly more issues (e.g. yellow tinting because of radioactive elements). The lens is not cheap. Should be well maintained and adjusted to the body for perfect performance. 35mm are very versatile for many duties. Use of the lens hood BW-52A is mandatory.</p>
  2. <p>I had the same problem with my beloved 1979 A-1 (first owner since the age of 15) . After a very long search for the cause, I found the solution and got it fixed at my long time Service Company Foto Geissler at Reutlingen, Germany:<br> There is a defect at the circuit at the battery-testing knob and the display on/off switch. After cleaning and repair of the circuit, the the display is off, as long, as the shutter is not pressed halfway and there in no battery drain anymore. </p>
