<p>Thank you so much everyone. I was using lightroom and adobe photoshop elements 10 but I have had to uninstall at the moment cause my machine keeps freezing and I am in way and expert on these but I will be updating to the latest versions of these and learning everything I can. I'm not a major computer person so some of this stuff is way over my head. I dont need major colour detailing just enough to enhance colours of sky, ocean, sun etc I suppose. I have a 1tb and a 3tb external hard drive already. I also use the computer for scanning everything bills, letters etc I scan and keep them all, plus I have word and excel documents. Only games I every play are simple stuff like candy crush. I just dont trust the salesmen cause when they start to go in depth about it they lose me and I dont know if they are talking crap. we do have a place that builds them too so maybe if I can figure out what I should get then I can go to them with it. As I said im not a professional photographer but would like to increase my skills and hopefully get there one day. thanks again</p>

<p>Hi, I'm not a professional photographer but I do take a lot of sporting and dancing shots for people and I take a lot of sports and nature shots for myself. I have only just learnt to use raw images for certain pics. My current computer is crap and i'm looking at buying a new one but upon my visit to numerous stores I was given different information. I like editing my photos and I'm wondering what you might suggest for a new computer and monitor? what would the minimum requirements be that you would recommend? A few people recommended this but it says its a gaming computer and I've read that they are only good for videos. I'm not proficient on a MAC but would be open to change if it is better.
