  1. Wow, thanks for all that insight. i will start by cleaning the batery contacts and go from there. Incidentally, the little batteries are known good; I pulled the battery carrier out of another 199a which is working fine.
  2. When I turn my Canon Speedlite 199a on, the rising squeal starts. But it never gets all the way to the normal high pitched level, and the flash never gets ready. Could this be a matter of a working inverter circuit, but a failed capacitor unable to store power?
  3. <p>Here are the buttons... all are self explanatory except that slider down on the lower right. Any idea what this abbreviations mean?</p> <blockquote lang="en" data-id="LGFBOIF"><img src="http://i.imgur.com/LGFBOIF.jpg" alt="" /></blockquote>
  4. <p>I was just given this flash and would like to play with it on my AE1 Program. There are a bunch of settings I don't know what to do with though. Anyone here have opinions or advice, or better yet a manual for this flash?<br /><br />Thanks</p>
