Hi guys,
Complete rookie question here: I use portra 400 120 mm film, usually in daylight, and noticed on my first scans that if I expose in broad daylight metering the sunny parts the shadows tend to "burn-in" with no information in them but darkness. How should I use the light meter then? "Expose for the shadows", meaning meter the shadows, and expose accordingly? Metering is not a problem in even light.
