<p>I've had the d5000 for many years now, I was part of the big crowd to jump on it when it came out. I've always loved it and never have had much issue with it. But as it's getting older now I've been wondering if I should upgrade, I have the d7000 in mind. I'm not a professional, I primarily just do things for friends and family. So really I guess I want a quality semi-pro camera just don't want to spend a ton on something that's just a hobby. So is the 7000 a good upgrade from the 5000? If you don't think so what would you recommend, ideally I want to spend under $1000.</p>
