4.
Michael Fousie who has blogged and posted photographs for a number of years on his website "Lightcurve on the Road", has not posted since May 1st 2016. He has been a regular volunteer and then Ranger for several years at Zion National Park. He lives in a motorcoach with his dog Blue who unfortunately passed away on or around May 1st 2016.

He is fighting an illness that required surgery and last I heard from him, his recovery was going slowly. Does anyone know that he is okay and doing well? He didn't respond to my last email. I sent another today hoping to find out he is okay and doing better.

His certificate or license for his website has expired apparently, and now brings up an advertisement for on line casinos.
If you know Mike and have news it would be appreciated. I've followed Mike for years and enjoyed his photography, blog, and the occasional email, during that time.

Gary Friedhoff
gfdublin@iwaynet.net

    Untitled

Its hard to get a shot like this with the detail on the moving subject only and leaving the background soft. I think it's a very nice shot, well done. Gary F

    Somesville Bridge

Not a critique just a comment that I like the photo. Would also like to see more of the house and then also the bridge, but I suppose that was not possible. Gary F
  7. I liked this shot but I don't know how to take a good sunset. What can I do to make this an interesting and memorable photo? Thanks for any comments, Gary
  8. I liked the transparency showing the wing bone structure. The Gull would not stand still but what could I do to make this a good photograph. Thanks for you comments, Gary F

  17.
I downloaded and installed the EXIF Foxfire extension, ("EXIF Viewer"); thank you Matthew. I have not checked my setting in LR but will do that when I leave PhotoNet.

To William.... in fact I did upload the last two pictures under the function "Add Photo". I have found adding any photos to be problematic for me, I don't know why. Add Photo worked so I used that. I'll take another look at, and work through, the "Upload Photos To This Folder" function.

Thank you all, JC, William, Matthew, James, and David, for the assistance.

Gary

  18.
Someone, I don't recall who, mentioned that the data was not present in some or all of the photos I put into my Gallery. But if William W can read them, it has to be there. So the question then is the EXIF data so difficult to see that I should be posting it somewhere else. I'll look at that. I read here it can be done manually but I would like to have it automatically included. I have also completed information regarding my equipment but that does not show up either, I saw that for myself.
I will start looking at the settings in LR; I thought I learned in a tutorial that LR does use layers, but I may be wrong about that. I'll also check the setting here in PhotoNet. I may have something that I want on, turned off. Wouldn't be the first time.
Thanks for the responses, I will read through them again in the morning when my eyes are rested.
Night all,
Gary

  19.
Thanks. I will Google "Photo Me" and spend more time looking at the "Better Jpeg" program.

I am using Lightroom but I'm not sure it's much different then PS. I have not been taking any information off or out of the few photos I have posted but apparently the exif data is missing. It must be coming off during the process of importing or exposure adjustment? I don't really know.
I do know I want to provide the information so others can see what I might be doing wrong.
Gary .......and I do resize the photos to comply with the limits as set out by PhotoNet for uploading. Would resizing pull that information off?

  20.
How do I include the recorded data with a picture I post here, (or anywhere)?

I have seen photos with the information in small print in a corner. Is that something I can do with Lightroom?

ISO, Aperture, Shutter Speed, Focal Length, are the bits if information I suspect I need to include. Anything else?

Thanks,

Gary
