A massive display of a noxious weed. Not a bad photo at all. Landowner has serious work to do.

Nice photo. I do use sepia on occasion, but it has to be just the right photo. Often, for me they work as well in B&W

Unless edited, not bleached, but large white birch. Not a bad photo.

Notice how civilized they are. Dogs would be climbing on top of each other...
Actually, not. I have owned multiple large dogs down the decades. They and we are pack members and courtesies are in place. Nice photo, in any case!

A very fine one, John! I don't usually visit N&E but this jumped out.

Good one, and a street I believe I have seen you visit before. Happy Thanksgiving, Jack!

Nice spin on Picasso!

Wonderful photo! It might amuse you to search Dorothy Parker's guest book entry on her visit when the Hursts were alive and in residence.

The old failed resorts in the Catskills? I remember a few in all their glory.

Don't speak the language, but know the word. Does not seem relevant.

At the moment, new rules for the site have not been posted. I defer judgment until they are. In my opinion this would have been O.K. under the old rules.

Wavy windows - Interesting. Thst

Spent a lot of time earlier in life on the edge of many fencing strips. Both of my children fenced. Your shots bring back some fine memories.

Fun. Reminds me a bit of a Disney Teapot in one of the old full length features. Good catch.

Excellent, moody & film noir. Really like it!

Dramatic! Well done.

Dynamic, dramatic and well composed/exposed. Nicely done.
-
A very fine image. The composition is particularly interesting, the exposure is very subtle and very well done.
-
Another excellent one -- you have gotten the light and water movement just perfectly yet again.

Thanks Emmanuel -- when you were there, and young, to me, at least, it is reminiscence, or memory rather than history. I am a bit frustrated, that though I have managed to keep nearly all of the film I shot back then, quite a bit of this particular period has yet to emerge from the accumulated debris of a lifetime. I will revisit this set and see if using modern digital "Miracles" I can clean them up. Life Magazine (or Geographic) quality, back in the day, was what every "serious" photographer was after. Belated Happy New Year! Sandy

Emmanuel, far too kind. Souvenir of days past. 15 days of bitter cold ahead here, I may revisit some of these and clean more thoroughly re scan and enhance. Many thanks! S

Quite a marvelous photo. Reminiscent of some of the best Hollywood promotional stills from the late 40's / early 50's.
