  1. Oook. Found that part in the manual. Honestly. I dont understand what it means. And im really afraid ill break something if i try to figure it out. Looking at both of our cameras next to each other, lens off, everything......EVERYTHING looks identical! Are there any youtube videos exolaining this? Ive been looking for some time and ive come up with nothing!!
  2. Hmmm....im looking and i don't see what your talking about. I just dont understand how her stock lense fits fine....but any other lense wont fit. But we have the same exact camera.
  3. Well, looks like i need some help once again. But i can happily say it isnt about MY canon this time. I purchased an ae1 for my girlfriend about 2 years ago off a guy here in my town who owned a kiiiillllller camera shop! He knew his stuff!!!! But sadly shut down right after i got the camera. Any way. For christmas, i snagged a zoom lense for her. Come to find out....it doesnt fit on her ae1! BUT, it fits on MY ae1. I tried swapping the stock lenses. Once again......my lense wont fit on hers!!!! Why is this??! I was looking at the silver ring/lense lock on her camera and assumed that could be why??? Why would any lense i take off my camera, or use on my camera, not work on hers???? Its the same model!!! Everyone who has helped me with my camera issues have been super helpful!!! Im just bummed she has a rad lense, that she cant use......i do feel bad. I also have pictures of it, but im not sure why they arent uploading....
  4. Thanks dave s. This is a different camera. The one from my grandfather will cost waaay to much to get working again. Ive called around to the only places that still sell and work on 35mm cameras, and they told me itd be close to $700 to get that one working. I found this one on ebay for cheap. And this is the first time its had problems. Ive put 2 rolls through it with no issues. So i think im going to give the terminals a cleaning.....buy another insanely oriced battery and see what happens.
  5. It wont work regardless if film is in there. I took the film out. Nooothing. Changed the battery. Still didnt work. Kinda not happy about this dilemma.
  6. So...i hope this is in the proper place. But i need help. I was using my canon ae1 today. Used a roll of film, went to load another roll. I was using the advance/cocking lever to advance the film as usual when loading. Then i went to press the shutter button, and it wouldnt "click". So i tried the cocking lever again. And it wouldnt advance the film. And its like its stuck. I tried a brand new battery since i know that can cause the shutter not to work. WHAT HAPPENED?!?!?! any help would be really appreciated!!!
  7. Louis Meluso does clarence gass have a sight? Or is that his buisness phone? Id like to get in contact with him on options and pricing for the canons repairs. Some have said itd be cheaper to find a working one due to the cost of repairs.
  8. Ah you guys rock! Thanks for the help! And yes the canon has a brand new battery in it!
  9. Hello all. So i dug out this old konica fta camera. I know absolutely nothing about this camera and my recent searches on google and yahoo have not helped me at all. So. My question is...where can i find an operators manual for this? I need to know what batteries to use....and so on and so forth. I have no clue if it even works. And i have some rad lenses for it too!!!!! I have pictures of it..but have no clue how to post them!!!! Also. I have my grandfathers old canon ae1. Its nt working for some reason. Has really bad shutter squeek and also...im lucky to even get a single picture out of an entire roll of film!!!! The camera shop in my town closed up over a year ago. And there are no others in my area. Is there an online business that i could send it into get to worked on??! I really want to start using these bad boys as soon as possible!!!
