1.
Thanks for the responses! I can definitely remember having a less-than-ideal focal length of prime on my camera in certain critical moments. That is definitely something to think about. And above all, I think any of the lenses will suffice for my photography. It's the content that people will be paying attention to, not what the maximum aperture on my lens was, or how much resolution I can squeeze out.

 2.
Hello,
I just bought a New F-1 (the seller bought it new from B&H in 1990 and never even put a roll of film through it!) I was able to find a 20-35mm f/3.5L for 300 USD and am wondering how much it differs from prime offerings in this focal range. I do not have any lenses for this camera currently (in fact, I have no experience with the FD system), but am planning to buy a 50mm f/1.2L and maybe a telephoto lens. I've always been a fan of wide angle lenses but haven't used them much since selling my EF 17-40 f/4L.
I don't mind buying a set of primes and perhaps spending more if they are going to make that much of a difference in terms of sharpness, distortion control, flaring, and aberrations. Who has experience with this wide zoom that could help inform me on my decision? Any suggestions are appreciated.
Regards,
Jared
