1.
I would like to thank everyone who answered my post. I really appreciate you taking the time to give me your thoughts. I loved my D300s but it was moved on to be replaced by the D3s - sold lots of equipment to buy it. I really need a backup camera and I've found it a minefield trying to work out what to buy. Thanks to all the advice received here, I am off to try a D750 today. Will let you know how I go.

 2.
Thank you Chuck, I will look this camera up.

 3.
I am looking for another Nikon camera as a backup for my D3s. Number one requirement is the camera must handle action shots (I am a professional horse photographer) and be easier to travel with than my D3s and be reliable. My recent experiences with Nikon has been using the D3s and D300s - so your suggestions would be gratefully received. (Primary lenses I use are 24-70mm and 70-200mm both 2.8.) Thank you.
