<p>I'm new but I have this tripod with the same problem. Would someone post a diagram or a few photos? I see a silver snap ring but even a small knife blade wasn't enough to push the collar in. I don't want to bruise any more fingernails. I love this tripod and just want to repair it. Many thanks!<br> Mike</p>
