  2. <p>Hello everyone,</p> <p>I am using an Epson SC-p600 printer and printing out of photoshop - and I am really struggling to get the colours right when selecting 'photoshop manages color'. Please can someone help? My question is: Why are all the colours coming out wrong in photoshop, what am I doing wrong? I can get a decent print using Lightroom or choosing 'printer manages colors' - but not using 'photoshop manages colours'.</p> <p>1) When I select "Ps manages color" I get terribly over saturated look in the images. Look at the quick comparison here:</p> <p>Top image printed in LR looks very close to on screen image - bottom PS one is very saturated - what on earth is happening? I can't seem to fix it.</p> <p><a href="https://forums.adobe.com/servlet/JiveServlet/showImage/2-8325927-861440/IMG_4748.JPG"><img src="https://forums.adobe.com/servlet/JiveServlet/downloadImage/2-8325927-861440/675-900/IMG_4748.JPG" alt="IMG_4748.JPG" width="675" height="900" /></a></p> <p>here are my settings: RGB 16 bit, adobe 1998 color space, I select 'edit in photoshop from the lightroom menu' files are set to .tiff and 16 bit, and adobe 1998 rgb - what am I doing wrong?:</p> <p>I profiled my monitor using colormunki display, I selected 'PINN_MATTE230_SC_600' which is the paper I downloaded from the paper website I bought it from.<br /> <a href="https://forums.adobe.com/servlet/JiveServlet/showImage/2-8325927-861428/Screen+Shot+2015-12-23+at+16.36.11.png"><img src="https://forums.adobe.com/servlet/JiveServlet/downloadImage/2-8325927-861428/675-900/Screen+Shot+2015-12-23+at+16.36.11.png" alt="Screen Shot 2015-12-23 at 16.36.11.png" width="675" height="900" /></a></p> <p>screen grab of settings</p> <p><a href="https://forums.adobe.com/servlet/JiveServlet/showImage/2-8325927-861429/Screen+Shot+2015-12-23+at+16.36.28.png"><img src="https://forums.adobe.com/servlet/JiveServlet/downloadImage/2-8325927-861429/Screen+Shot+2015-12-23+at+16.36.28.png" alt="Screen Shot 2015-12-23 at 16.36.28.png" width="585" height="639" /></a></p> <p><a href="https://forums.adobe.com/servlet/JiveServlet/showImage/2-8325927-861430/Screen+Shot+2015-12-23+at+16.40.24.png"><img src="https://forums.adobe.com/servlet/JiveServlet/downloadImage/2-8325927-861430/Screen+Shot+2015-12-23+at+16.40.24.png" alt="Screen Shot 2015-12-23 at 16.40.24.png" width="582" height="339" /></a></p> <p>I set it so that epson doesn't control the colours, because I selected 'photoshop manages color'</p> <p>2) When I tested printing in LR i managed to get ok colours. Here's what I am using:</p> <p><a href="https://forums.adobe.com/servlet/JiveServlet/showImage/2-8325927-861441/Screen+Shot+2015-12-23+at+16.43.43.png"><img src="https://forums.adobe.com/servlet/JiveServlet/downloadImage/2-8325927-861441/Screen+Shot+2015-12-23+at+16.43.43.png" alt="Screen Shot 2015-12-23 at 16.43.43.png" width="242" height="508" /></a></p>
  3. <p>Thanks for the responses. <br> Michael - Which type of Omega carrier do you use? <br> In your experience of using the glass and the negative carrier, which do you find hold the negative more flat?<br> I've never actually scanned before, but I'm assuming that the glass would hold the negative more flat, but it would be a little more awkward to move around on top of the lightbox (if you are moving for stitching images). <br> Can anyone recommend another carrier, or one that has glass on it?<br> Cheers, <br />Joseph </p>
  4. <p>Hello, <br /><br />I have embarked upon a mission to start 'scanning' my film using my Nikon D800 and macro lens. So far I have purchased an LED lightbox (artograph A920 - 6x9 inch) a kaiser rs2 copy stand, but I need to find a good negative carrier. Can anyone suggest one?<br /><br /></p> <ul> <li>I'll be copying 6x7 negs from my mamiya 7</li> <li>I'm looking for something that will lie flat on the lightbox</li> <li>do I need glass to hold it down really flat?</li> </ul> <p><br />Any recommendations or help would be greatly appreciated, I am really struggling to find the right piece of kit at the moment. I have seen something called the 'digitaliza' by lomography, but this looks quite flimsy and I'm not sure it will do the job well. <br /><br />Thanks</p>
