  1. A common problem with the older, non lock up 6x7s is that there is excess spacing between frames. The normal fix seems to be replacing the rubber frame counter roller. Pentax replaced this roller with a metal one in the newer models. But is there a DIY fix of the rubber roller that returns it to normal function? I'm guessing that the roller diameter changes over time, causing the spacing problem.
  2. Hi Gary-- I'm not sure what that plant is called but it is quite common in much of the South Pacific. Yes, they do have a nasty understory that makes walking through them a real challenge. They like to grow on eroded limestone, as seen here. I thought this shot was Velvia 50 but I dug out the slide and saw it was Velvia 100f. Didn't buy any business class airfares but did get a couple of cheap seats for next April to French Polynesia. :)
