  1. French Polynesia, Pentax 67, Velvia 50, 55-100 zoom.
  2. A common problem with the older, non lock up 6x7s is that there is excess spacing between frames. The normal fix seems to be replacing the rubber frame counter roller. Pentax replaced this roller with a metal one in the newer models. But is there a DIY fix of the rubber roller that returns it to normal function? I'm guessing that the roller diameter changes over time, causing the spacing problem.
  3. From last summer; Pentax 6x7, 600 Takumar, Velvia 100, southern Arizona.
  4. Thanks Peter! It was only slightly polarized, as I didn't turn it all the way. It would be too dark.
  5. Arizona Rainbow cactus, Pentax 6x7, 90-180 zoom w/ helicoid tube.
  6. Santa Catalina mountains, Arizona, Pentax 6x7, 200mm, Velvia 50.
  7. From 2004, Cook Islands, Pentax 6x7 (cropped).
  8. Poppies in East Central Arizona in a rare display. Pentax 6x7, 55-100 zoom @ 55mm. Velvia 50.
  9. Here's another Canadian lake. Pentax 67.
  10. What a cracker!!! Thanks Gary. There was lightning all around and I debated whether I should risk it. I chose to shoot it and it turned out well.
  11. Colorado, high elevation pond, Pentax 67, 55-100 zoom.
  12. Hi Gary-- I'm not sure what that plant is called but it is quite common in much of the South Pacific. Yes, they do have a nasty understory that makes walking through them a real challenge. They like to grow on eroded limestone, as seen here. I thought this shot was Velvia 50 but I dug out the slide and saw it was Velvia 100f. Didn't buy any business class airfares but did get a couple of cheap seats for next April to French Polynesia. :)
  13. Cook Islands from 2004, Pentax 67, Velvia 50.
  14. Glad to hear you liked that shot Gary! I used to travel quite a bit in the South Pacific and had many shots published from it. There is just so much potential for slide film there. It is my favorite place to shoot.
  15. Cook Islands from 2011-- Pentax 67, 55-100 zoom @ 55mm.
  16. Mexican Gold Poppies etc east central Arizona, Pentax 67, 55-100 zoom.
  17. Another option is to go retro with the Pentax 67 (film). It is a proven landscape camera and the wide lenses are affordable. The 45mm and the 55-100 zoom make a minimalist package that works well for landscapes.
  18. High elevation Colorado (where I get altitude sickness) Sony digital.
  19. Mosel River, Treis, Germany, Pentax 6x7 ntax 6x7, 90-180 zoom.
  20. A Pentax 6x7 shot from Yoho Park, BC, Canada, 55-100 zoom.
  21. Silent Street (Gary)-- I have seen most of the work that you posted here, on other forums, with the exception of the boulders and small waterfall. Very nice work. Good eye.
  22. Winter in southern Arizona-- Pentax 6x7.
