1.
Thank you for replying Steven. I just tried to change the color setting to RBG and it made it a little bit brighter. Do you know what I should set things to to get the blue much brighter?

 2.
Hi everyone. This is my first post but I've been reading for a while.
A friend of mine has an Epson Artisan printer and we were comparing some of her prints with mine and noticed that her prints are a lot brighter and actually look better. The ink she uses is Epson Claria and I am using Epson Durabrite.

From what I've read, her printer uses dye ink and mine uses pigmented ink, and pigmented ink is generally dull. I was looking on Amazon and noticed that there are a lot of other ink choices to choose from.

My printer is the Epson XP-420. I am using the standard DuraBrite ink. Can I achieve brighter colors with a different kind of pigmented ink and if so, what kind?
