I hope some day not too far in the future, Rick will think of creating a photo book from the pictures he has presented to

this forum and in the same book he will write about some of the pictures - motivation, methodology, philosophy, etc.

<p>Rajmohan, I don't have a Tenax but I've its close cousin Taxona. There are two versions - Novonar and Tessar. Mine is Novonar and this version is usually cheaper than Tessar. Mine had some issues which I got fixed in Bangalore. Now it's a fine performer and I'm happy with the results. You'll find many Taxonas listed on the big auctions site. </p>

<p>Firstly I am very glad that roll back to the good old V1 has happened. While V1 definitely looked outdated in its form and feel, it was functional. I'm for improvement and innovation but not all forums need to mimic Facebook and other social networks. PN offers something unique that none of the social networks offer and any effort to modernize PN must not undermine its essence. </p>

<p>Mike, JDM, Glen, and Tony - Thanks for the response. I searched web for information on this film but I found nothing! Some old timers in Bangalore vaguely remembered the film but didn't have anything significant to say about it. The seller said he got the rolls from some customer of his and doesn't know whether it was properly stored - sold as is. I will shoot a roll and see what it has got to offer. I'm thinking of giving the film an extra stop of exposure considering its age. Or maybe I should try some shots at 25 and 100 too. </p>

Found this color negative film in a local photo store. It's an expired film - manufactured in December 2006 and best before May 2008.

Appears to be a European film rolled in India. The store guy couldn't give me any information about this film. Is this film familiar to you?

Nice pictures and I particularly liked the

Lincoln Road. I was given one of the

Clicks by a friend. It looked like a toy

and my daughters thought it was a toy.

So I gave it to them and they had a

good time playing mock photography

with it for a few days. Looking at your

work, now it dawned to me that a

camera is as good as the person who

uses it. Even a toy camera can give

good results in the hands of a capable

photographer.

Open an unopened carton

 

Pickup the camera inside the carton

 

Load Kentmere or Superia

 

Go out, shoot, come back with a dozen

stellar pictures

 

Repeat till all cartons have been

emptied

 

 

If photography were as simple as this I

too would have made hundreds of

good pictures but alas it isn't. :-D Hats

Any of the fixed lens Fujica rangefinders (V2, 35ML, 35EE, 35SE, Compact Deluxe) should be a fine choice. They're quite cheap, easy to repair (that's what my local camera repair technician says), have good lens and well built.
