<p>The previous owner of a 501cm had jimmy-rigged some homemade metal strap connectors that fit the lug posts on the body of the camera. In the process of trying to remove the strap connectors, the lug post popped out. Nothing seems broken as I assume the lug posts can be snapped back in but therein lies the problem. Merely pushing them in by hand does not seem to work. Anyone have any ideas? My last resort would be to simply gaffer tape the holes to keep from dust getting in and go strapless but that's less than ideal.</p>
