  1. <p>Well thanks for the help anyways - I'm going to bring it to a repair shop after work today, lets just hope it will be a quick fix!</p>
  2. <p>I carefully tried what "Dieter Schaefter" suggested - I used the mirror lockup, the mirror moved up without a problem and I tried the mechanical lever. The shutter did not fire - only a faint click sound. When I lowered the mirror, the mirror went to the same 1/4 position (only this time it is of course 3/4 of the way down, since the mirror was alle the way up) </p>
  3. <p>Yes, I think it is called "Backup mechanical lever" - my bad on that part, but the one you can use with no batteries and has a fixed shutterspeed at 1/60 I think.</p>
  4. <p>Hi<br /><br />I have a problem with my Nikon F3 - when I use the mechanical shutter, the mirror will no go the full way up. It will stop 1/4 of the way and the shutter won't fire. The advance lever is stuck and the electric shutter does not work, even though there the camera is on and the batteries are fine.<br /><br />Do any of you know how to solve the problem?</p>
