  1. Hi folks, I see this is quite an old thread, I hope you guys are still alive and kicking. I am wanting to use one of these lenses on my digital setup, either or, both are readily available on eBay, does anyone have any real life experience using these MF lenses on a mirrorless system? (Sony a7r) in my case., I will be using it in conjunction with a mirex tilt shift adaptor.
  2. <p>Hi Folks, </p> <p>I am looking for a high quality mamiya or hasselblad MF to mount on my A7R, along with a mirex tilt/shift adaptor, it needs to be a version with full manual aperture control. pretend price isn't any issue, any recommendations? ( I only shoot landscapes with front to back sharpness requirements), what lens would even come close to the canon 24mm T/S II, if any ?</p> <p>(I have already burned my fingers once, trying a contax 645 MF lens, with 2 x kipon adaptors, it just did not work due to the lens having electronic aperture control and the kipon adaptors in-build iris not being up to it.)</p> <p>Cheers, </p> <p>Andy.</p>
  3. Thanks for the replies guys, I have decided to scrap this little adventure and unfortunately return the lot, a shame it sounded good in theory. I am now looking for a dedicated til/shift lenses In the 40-50mm focal length range, the canon and nikon don't get the best reviews, so at the minute I'm looking at : http://www.hartbleilens.com/index.php?cat=1 There is also another company of a very similar name offer the same type of lens but using zeiss glass : http://www.hartblei.de/en/index.htm im tempted to start a new thread, to see if anyone has any experience with these companies. The Zeiss version is retailing at ~5000 Euro
  4. <p>I have just bought a Contax 645 45mm f2.8 distagon MF lens for my A7R, I have the following setup :<br> Lens ><br> Kipon contax 645 to Nikon F adaptor ><br> Nikon F to Sony E Kipon tilt/shift adaptor ><br> Sony A7R Body<br> I have 2 issues, the first one being that the lens aperture can only be controlled via electronics, meaning that I have to use the IRIS built in to the 'standard' adaptor (not t/s adaptor) to stop down the lens. I have been out shooting test shots this weekend and when I stop it down small enough to give what I think is around f11 (its guess work as the kipon adaptor is just numbers 1-6) I am getting SEVERE vignetting around the edges, any idea?<br> The second issue is that when tilting the lens down, the whole frame is moving down with it ( unlike what happens with say a canon 24mm t/s lens), i'm guessing that mounting the lens direct to the tripod will help this, so that I use the camera body to do the tilting rather than the lens? the only problem is that its nion impossible to rig a lens collar to the 2 adaptors I have, can I buy say a contax 645 to contax 645 adaptor that has a lens collar attached, so that I can attach that to the tripod.<br> Hope that makes sense. Andy</p>
