<p>Thanks to everyone for your responses. I did contact Canon and was told that updating the the latest firmware, 1.2.3 at this writing, will include all of the firmware updates that I may have missed.<br> Mission accomplished!</p><div></div>

<p>I am new to this forum and could use some assistance.<br> Would someone out there be kind enough to give me a quick rundown on the firmware updates for the 5D iii? I am presently running 1.0.7, which I am sure is very old?<br> Are each of the firmware updates designed to deal with one, or a selected subset of issues, or do they cover all changes or improvements? <br> If I go to Canon and download the latest firmware will that update everything, or will I create chaos? <br> If I do not shoot video is updating firmware necessary or not?<br> Is there a list of updates somewhere with explanations of what each accomplishes?<br> Are there any updates that should be avoided?<br> Thanks,<br> Mike</p>
