  1. Thanks to you all for you kind suggestions. I'm sure you're right. I was a bit too carried away after finding the spots. I'll get it wet cleaned and hopefully the problem will be over. Rodeo Joe, yes I've used it a few times in conditions where there were dust in the atmosphere, I do plane spotting and sometimes the areas around an airport are not the cleanest places to be ! Thanks again to you all for taking your time to reply to my query.
  2. Thanks for the responses. The dust (or oil whatever it is !) is spread almost all over the frame. I use Nikon 24-85 f2.8-4 and Sigma 70-200 f2.8. Getting the spots while using both lenses even after 'dry' cleaning the sensor. Guess I've to get it 'wet' cleaned. Thanks guys for your realistic thought about the interchange theory of mine ! I upgraded from D5200 with which I didn't face this issue. So I was desperate to find a probable cause !
  3. I bought a D610 in October 2013 during a trip to Kualalumpur from a Nikon dealer. I'm very upset now after using the camera as I'm having dust/oil problem that was widely reported for D600 and even acknowledged by Nikon. Is it possible that the dealer could have changed the shutter mechanism (replacing my d610's with the problematic D600's) ? Are they interchangeable ?
