1.
Steve, thanks for all your suggestions. I'm going to stick them in my photography folder in case I run into problems again. Maybe I can even figure out why the 50mm macro isn't working.

 2.
Thank you for taking the time to reply. Why reading your response and playing again I discovered the 100mm was not seated exactly right. When I put it back on the autofocus works. Yahoo!. Now I need to figure out how to delete this thread.

 3.
I have a Canon RebelT3i with the standard 18-55 and 55-250 IS lenses. They both work perfectly on autofocus. I also have a Canon 50mm non IS lens that does not autofocus on the T3i body. I was thinking that something was wrong with the lens and I wanted a ring flash so I ordered the Canon Macro Lens 100 2.8 USM - non IS -lens and the Canon MR-14E II macro ring lite. They arrived today. The lens does not autofocus. I've talked to a Canon rep already today and she assures me that both lenses should focus on autofocus. I think it is odd that both IS lenses work fine on autofocus and both nonIS lenses don't. Does anyone else have that problem?
