Hi,

I have a Canon 60DA about one year old, and just the other night, while changing a lens, I noticed something sticking out loosely just under the flip-up mirror. I managed to get it out and it looks like a tiny fresnel lens about the size of a postage stamp (probably the same size as the mirror). It's got tiny bumps sticking out all around the perimeter. I've tried shooting pictures and looking through the viewfinder and all seems fine, but I'm curious:
1. What is this thing?
2. Can I easily get it back in without mailing it off the Canon?
3. If I do need to send it back to Canon to get it fixed, is it really that necessary a part anyway?

Thanks,
Joe
