  1. George, Great monochrome with nice textures, albeit in an ideal world I'd have liked to see the whole boat ( May be a good reason its not there however ) and an image with a less central horizon. None the less a lovely capture. Rgds. Rick

  2. Kurt. Nice piece of work which adds a surreal, simplistic quality to the image. In my opinion only the horizon is far too central ~ the image would be improved by cropping from the top to a 16 x 9 format, which eliminates much of the gravel and grass forground which contributes nothing to the image and is distracting. Lovely detail in a very expressive image, Katherine,  The composition puts the eye and the beak nicely into the thirds although I might have been tempted to crop out a little wider. Great shot . Rgds. Rick

  3. Slow shutter changed everything ~ and very much for the better resulting in a fascinating image. Very well captured, only comment a small touch of vignetting might, and only might, add a little something to what is already an excellent image. Rgds. Rick

Raoul : You have a nice shot here. Firstly it looks like it has some nice textures and might be better as a colored version Have to see it to know. More importantly in respect of the composition. the focus point ( the  Bike ) is dead center of the image. In my view the shor would be better cropped from the top down removing about half of the clouds , and from the  right removing the  lower ground from the image  that would place the focal point in the upper right third and I think would make a far more dynamic composition. The eye would then be led from the lower left to the focal point or from the focal point down to the lower left. Just my thoughts however ~ you did ask ~ Hope it helps, you may get some more clues and alternatives from books on Photographic composition. Rgds. Rick
