Michel, Unfortunately you can find images like this in most big cities but this one is a well composed, dramatic shot and the depth of field and lighting you have achieved adds to the feeling in the image. Congratulations on being willing and able to show a distressing but realistic view of the lives of some of the less fortunate. A great shot.
  3. Janegbert : The Post Card format is striking but purely from a personal point of view detracts from three images which appear to be exellent in thier own right. I think you would be better served in posting them as individual images, particulaly the top right image which I find very appealing and well composed. Rgds

Bob. I like this. a nice architectural image, the textures are great. Would have been better from alittle further way to give a little more head space for the towers but you can't aways chose the vantage point. Still very effective. Great shot. Rgds.

Wolter. An interesting shot. Can I suggest that you try cropping to a square ( 1 x1 ) format which would remove some of the heavy green, uninteresting.background and move the heads of the lady and gentleman into approximatley the top right and lower left positions ~ I think it would much improve the composition. Rgds
  8. Gerald. A realy nice image ~ I like the fact that the second window from the right is catching the light and complementing the beautiful ceiling and the light thn fading to the bottom left ~ realy effective. Rgds.

Hi, You are taking shots in difficult lighting conditions and I'm guessing this was hand held in which case its a very creditable effort. If its possible using small portable tripod and time delayed shutter release would help, always assuming you can find somewhere to shoot with using that. Even if you could not get closer that would give you more leeway to crop the shot closer. The other closer shot in your portfolio would benifit from the same. But never the less a great effort, Steven. Rgds.

    Trainin' in Peru

Larry. Its a great image as it is. If the shy really disturbs you ( And it dont think it detracts from the image) you could try "blur" or negative sharpness and clarity (if you are using Lightroom) on the sky, it might take some of the effect away. But its a nice image as it is. Rgds

I like this. Just a suggestion if you could either recrop the original or reverse the image so that the lady was looking into the frame rather than out of it i think that would add to what is a great image. Rgds.

A photograph with great charactor. As a suggestion crop it down to just the face and the hands. You may loose a sense of location but it would emphasis the great charactor you have captured. Rgds.

Jim. Great shot. I like this. Try cropping in from the right a little to make the focus of the light a little less central. Rgds

Lovely shot Maria ~ for me this is made by the reflection of the oppisite bulding in the car window. Very much personal preference but I'd adapt the perspective to correct the uprights and crop down to just above the top of the doorway. But its a lovely image. Rgds.
