1.
Hello!
I'm experiencing quite a frustrating problem with my canon 600d. I have just started doing timelapses and today i went to capture a sunrise.
The camera was not in AF mode.
The AF switch on the lens was set to MF.
The light conditions were as you'd expect for dawn, very low light.
The problem is when i go to press the shutter button in AV mode by hand or remote control the red light hangs for ages and its like the camera freezes up?
It does this in TV mode aswell.
Full manual mode worked but as that was my only option i have half my photos over exposed from having the f-stop low at dawn when it was dark. As soon as the sun comes up the amount of light being let in ruins the photos. (something that can be rectified in Lightroom maybe?)
The weird thing is I'm at home now and the AV mode and TV mode is working fine.
My main question is would the camera be sensitive to cold temperatures so it stops working in AV mode? It was not unusually cold this morning and it DID work in fully manual mode.
I don't know why I couldn't get AV or TV mode working but now I'm home I can?
Any advice would be great as its driving me nuts!
Thank you
