Here's a shot using one light (120 w/s) with an umbrella to the left

and a reflector off to the right. I Feel like there's a tremendous loss

of contrast yet her chest is not well lit enough.

Light position? More power to strobe?

Any suggestions for the beginner are greatly appreciated.

Any suggestions for Black and white portraits? Starting slow, using

single light (Novatron bare bulb 120 w/s).

Newbie . . . be gentle.
