1.
Marc Williams , Jeff Spirer,Marcus Ian ;

Thank you all for your honest thoughts and helping me out to see the situation from other side. When I'm thinking as a business person, I think at the same way as all you suggested. But there other person inside me ( my voice) saying maybe try out, people wants something different than standard services from vendors. Last year I saw couple vendors providing boudoir photography services also.

What is compelling about what you do? - Marc
- I think my style. Talked some brides and they told that they wanted something different and genuine on their engagement portraits instead of cookie cutter poses were mostly poses are kissing and hugging. But telling their story in series of photos and learning couple's story in deep.
- Also I do work a lot with international and mixed customers, they feel comfortable working with me and telling their unique stories. This is also working with different skin colors and understanding their culture and values.
_ I do not do high volume weddings, which allows me to work and stay creatively for each project and high end customer service. At the end giving a quality experience.
_ Don't just provide a CD, proving also quality tangible products and help them out to design their galleries accordingly their interior designs.

As Marcus Ian says, it can be waste of my time and money, since it is not cheap show and already did a payment.
My "why" is not fitting doing weddings at all. I do not want sold just for money, and not enjoy from the process at all. I have been working art manager long time and I have promised not to work at night time and crowded places any more. Love non rush and quality relations and the main stay creative, motivated and love truly what I do.

Since there no way to backup, I think engagement and beauty portraits would be better option for me this time?

 2.
Michael Mowery - New York City, NY
Thank you for your reply. That is a good point. The both of them are offering included engagement sessions which are 1 hour standard sessions with standard poses, nothing extraordinary and CD with photos. I was going to suggest more custom sessions telling broad story with 2-3 package options where they can choose several locations and outfits. Also this is great for newly engaged couples who did not choose their wedding photographer yet, and wanted photos for save the date cards, guest albums...etc
I did google and there photographers do only engagement sessions and not weddings. In my case struggling to position and differentiate myself.

 3.
Greetings all:
I would like ask your advice and suggestions on my following questions. I'm going to attend a bridal show and promoting my business as a Bridal and Engagement Portrait Photography Services only. How to formulate or position my brand in case brides ask about wedding event photography services. The reason is, I do not work at late evening/ night events, especially if these are crowded big events.
I prefer intimate, non rush working environment for both; customers and for me to get quality images and then provide custom products, prints as a final result rather than CD with all images from a big wedding.
I would love to get some weddings if it is small, stylized, non traditional and intimate. My spouse suggesting adding "intimate, or boutique weddings" but I'm not quite sure what does include or how to differentiate from regular weddings.
Or just offer bridal and engagement shoots? If yes, does my business will be attractive and competitive for brides, who will be shopping mostly for wedding events. Except myself there will be two local photographers: one experienced and pricy with high volume weddings and second with average prices with mixed wedding and separate engagement packages.
Ones I make clear my position then will prepare promotionals/prints accordingly. Thank you and appreciate your any advice or right direction.
