1.
Hi Stefan,
I have lightroom for post processing tool. I usually shoot RAW+JPEG. If I do not find JPEG good enough, I try to make changes in RW2.
As far I read in other posts, low light situation can not be improved in G5 with superior lenses also. Is it correct ? But along with this, I am also confused with - is there really a significant IQ improvement with superior (and expensive) lens over present kit lenses ? If yes, in what sense ?
Another question - If we keep aside sensor size and more handy features, there are no distinguishable IQ difference in a 400$ camera (like G5) and 1800$ (Fuji XT-1 or Sony Alpha 7) ?
Thanks

 2.
Hello,
I am in process of upgrading my Panasonic G5 camera, which was faithful to me for 2 years. I have been reading lot of posts here and now in position to narrow down few. Ok, my preference ? I love taking pictures of landscapes, mountains (sometimes in evening also, so low light is a factor), family/friends gathering. Why I want to upgrade ? Low light not good, being mirrorless dof not so good and while comparing IQ on Image comparison tool, I can see signicant difference in images.
Budget ? 1800$ or near (including lense).
Seize/Weight ? Currently I have Panasonic G5 but heavier camera also will work for me. I may only avoid when it is too heavy to carry in hand for long time. Specially when I roam around in a Nation park for few hours. I checked D5300 and I didn't found it heavy.
Image Quality ? That is the reason, I am thinking to upgrade.
Usage ? Landscapes, family gathering pictures, potraits (not commercial, only family, friends), nature, scenic places.
I have few options, all suggestions are welcome.
1- Keep G5, but buy better lenses like like 12-40mm or 12-35mm.
2- Buy GX7 and use superior lenses like 12-40mm or 12-35mm
3- I liked image quality of D610 and 7100, it was so sharp. But weight/size (including lens) turned me off. Are there lighter (but good) lenses ?
4- D5300. Feature wise, it looks impressive. May be I can get more sharp pictures with better lenses. Though many suggested EVF in my previous post and D5300 is optical.
5- Sony Alpha 7. Confused, if I should pay this much for exceptionally good IQ. Should I ?
6- Fuji XT-1. This one looks impressive, but then I though if I have to pay this much, should I go for Full Frame, which are better ?
Regards
