1.
That's what I was afraid of. I don't have an AF lens yet, but was planning to get one. I may stop by the (somewhat) local camera shop to see if they have an AF lens I could try.
Does anyone know if this is a common issue on the 645AF? Or if there's a common fix?
How about any recommendations on where to get it fixed? Any idea on the repair cost?

 2.
Jim, thanks for the comments.
I don't think that's the issue (I tried moving the focus ring fairly slowly) but I'll try later today; maybe at f4 to see if it improves.

 3.
Hi all,
Just received my 'as-is' 645AF camera bought on ebay. I've been using a M645j with 80mm f1.9 lens (my only lens) for several years, so I'm familiar with the M645 system.

According to the 645AF manual (p 68), M645 lenses can be used in stop-down metering with:
1. Focus mode set to "M" (manual)
2. Metering mode set to "S" (spot)
3. Exposure mode set to Av (shutter priority) or M (manual)

I'm not able to get the focus mark (●) to light up, nor am I able to get one or the other defocus direction marks to light up (► or ◄). When I try to focus on an object, I'm only (sometimes) able to get the arrows to light up simultaneously, not individually to indicate which direction to change focus. The aperture is not stopped down below f5.6, in fact it's at 1.9

2 questions:
1. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
2. Do you need to half-press the shutter release to enable the focus aid? Or does it do it real-time?
