    <p>I don't think anyone is really saying it (5D) was a lousy camera were asked by the op to compare it against a Nikon D700,it's just not in the same league. By the way I had a 5D at one time and I really enjoyed it,but I moved to Nikon anyway I think this an apples to oranges comparison so I can't see the 5D coming out on top sorry if that bothers you..........</p>

    <p>Because it(5D) is an ancient old tech DSLR compared to the Nikon D700 which has a much better sensor,way better build,IQ and this list goes on,but this only my opinion.</p>
