<p>Yes they do.</p>

<p>The A900 doesn't support Live View, so you will not be able to see real-time imagery on a monitor. You can, however, send your shots to a laptop, monitor or TV as you shoot them. Just connect the supplied video cable to your monitor or standard TV (or to a HD TV with an optional HDMI cable) and set your camera to one of the Auto Review settings and each shot will be shown on the larger screen. Note, however; your LCD will be disabled while the camera is connected to the alternate viewing device.</p>

<p>Last year Mamiya announced an adapter to fit a digital back to the RB67 Pro-S and Pro-SD series.</p>
<p>Whether or not an older digital back becomes "inferior" to a "modern dSLR" (which I assume you mean the latest technology at a given time) would depend upon how badly you need/crave the updated features. Certainly as the technology grows you can expect the most recent generation of dSLR's will have improved IQ characteristics. In that sense, an older digital back will be "inferior".</p>

"Bryan, does it auto-rotate the verticals?"</p>
<p>Yes, with the Sony body. No with the 7D body. (Never understood why Minolta didn't set the correct rotation bit with a firmware update -- annoying).</p>

<p>I can see how it could be useful in a studio environment.</p>
<p>I sometimes hook my cameras up to a large flat screen TV mounted on my studio wall so that the model and crew can see the images as they are shot in order to evaluate the modeling and styling. As you know, SDTV resolution is no match for that of a computer monitor (especially on a shot in protrait orientation), but HDMI resolution would allow for a truer representation of the camera's capture.</p>

<p>I have a A100, but it's not my primary DSLR; the KM7D still holds that title. I'll be adding a A900 later this summer. Hopefully it will become my primary DSLR.<br>
My other "primary" cameras are (depending on applicability) are:<br>
Minolta Maxxum 7<br>
Mamiya RB67 Pro-S<br>
Bronica S2A -- still going strong after all these years.</p>

<p>I use Pocket Wizards with all my cameras.</p>

You don't say what lighting equipment you have, but if your heads have built-in optical slaves, you don't need a PW for each unit. Attach one PW transmitter to your camera and one receiver to one of your lights. The other heads will fire in sympathy with the one attached to the receiver.
The PW receiver attaches to your lights via a snyc cable.

Prompted by your reply, I went back and double-checked ALL of my USB devices and found the proper cable. Sometime in the past I apparently I had swapped it with another device's cable (a dual FireWire/USB printer, for which I use the FireWire connection) and had it with the printer's stuff.
Many, many thanks for taking the time to reply.

I finally have an occasion to shoot tethered with my 7D. While running through
a mock session, I was surprised to find that the USB cable supplied with the
camera didn't fit the camera's USB port! Comparing the 7D's USB port with that
of my DiMage A2 (see photos) I see that they are completely different, yet the
cables supplied with the two camera's are identical. Can anyone tell me what

<BLOCKQUOTE>"Since Bridge is greyed out I can't select it and PS processes all the files in the folder. Does anyone know where I've gone wrong?"</BLOCKQUOTE>
Do you have Bridge running at the time with all of the images you want to process selected?

I bought mine, new, in Feb. 2005 and have not had a single problem with any aspect of the camera. Most of my shooting is in the studio, so my experience with on-camera flash (the 3600hsd) and this camera has not been extensive; but even there I have not had <b>any</b> problems.

I had the same thing happen; see my thread below this one.

No, it was presented to me as NIB, however the fact that there were no accompaning papers AND that I paid (what I consider) a deeply discounted price for it, maybe it was a refurb.
Nevertheless, I am extremely satisfied with its performance!

I get the following notice in my workspace:
"You have rated 1 photos on this site, with average ratings of 3 for
originality and 5 for aesthetics."
However, I have never rated any photo on photo.net; in fact, until I
clicked on the link to my supposed rating, I had never even seen the
photo I supposedly rated! Why does photo.net think otherwise?

Many thanks for your response, Clinton. However, I think I must decline your, uh..."kind" offer.

I'm confused about this recently purchased lens. Unfortunately, in
my haste to leave the store with my new prize, I failed to notice
that the papers (warranty card and lens instruction manual) were not
in the box. I <I><B>thought</B></I> I was buying the KM AF 85mm/1.4
D (G) (the box says it is), but every photo I've seen of it in KM's
promotional literature shows a small gold band around the
circumference of the barrel, right above the lens markings. As you
can see, this one does not have that band and, there is no "G"
designation on the lens at all.
<P>
Did/does KM make a AF 85mm/1.4(D) that is <I><B>not</B></I> a G lens?<div></div>

In the DC area, I like United Photo in Beltsville. On the Web, they're at www.uphoto.com.

Your Z2 already has macro capability -- standard macro and "Super Macro". See page 35 of your manual.
To attach any filter you'll need to purchase the ZCA-100 adapter ring. You can then use any 52mm filter. Adorama and B&H are good sources for it.

Why won't a game camera, such as this one
from Bass Pro Shops, fill your need?
Remote operation is controlled by a passive infrared system; flash can be disabled; cost is reasonable a complete system and mounting hardware.

Ditto the Penn Camera location in Rockville. If fact, I think that they have a larger selection of used gear than do either the downtown or Tyson's stores.

Hey Dan,
I had the exact same thing happen to me when I downloaded the patch. I just held my breath and clicked in the spot that basically equates to "yes" in the box with the Japanese text. The files extracted just fine and I was able to install the patch from that point one.
Don't know why you and I are the only one to have had that problem, tho...
Good luck.

I attached a spring-loaded keychain clip to the strap on my Bronica and simply clip it to the darkslide -- darkslide stays clipped to the strap and is easily disconnected when changing backs.
Any Minolta film SLR's that will work wirelessly with Sony hvl-f42am flash?
