Thank you Shun. Always multiply the focal length by the crop factor to arrive at the 35mm equivalent. This equivalent is the standard by which you can generally level the comparisons among lenses and cameras. You should also apply the factor to aperture with respect to depth of field.

A great deal of excellent advice. I would add that post processing in a photo editing tool like Lightroom is an essential part of photography. These tools demonstrate how great images are transformed into spectacular ones. But mastering lighting and exposure is by far the best path to great images.

I think there is some very useful information here and agree that many read these posts (like me) but don't feel they have enough (or any) experience to add constructively to the discussion. None of the fine contributors wasted their time, but comments stating that opinion does not enhance photo.net's forums or encourage participation.
