<p>I kind of depends on what type of model you are looking for and what they will be modeling.</p>

<p>Like others have already stated, large hard drive with external hard drive backup. For off site stuff I back up to the cloud (for my most important stuff). </p>

<p>Well, as I stated in my original post, I'm not getting it. </p> <p>However, for the few that might be interested, according to an email I received from their customer support, they will send you the actions you purchase in the future if you request them. even though I probably won't be buying anything else from them that's good news for those that might.</p>

<p>Ok, kind of old news, maybe a month or so. I just found out Kubota Image Tools is requiring a $3 a month subscription to use their Dashboard software. The Dashboard is required to use the actions since you don't get the actions when you buy them. You only get to use the actions with the use of the Dashboard. <br> I understand their requiring the use of the dashboard because they don't want to send you an action that can easily be copied and shared with your friends. However, forcing you to buy the subscription to use the actions you ALREADY own is bull. lol. That's like buying a car and right before getting the keys to the car getting informed "oh, sorry, you have to pay a monthly subscription to use the keys". <br> According to their website they will send you actions you already have purchased (which is good). I emailed them and requested they send me my actions so I can avoid the dashboard. I'm curious, however, if you purchase future actions will you need the dashboard and hence, forced to buy the monthly subscriptions?<br> They claim the "low" monthly subscription fee is to cover the cost of maintaining the Dashboard software. Again, I claim bull. I'm curious what the number of dashboard users are out there. World wide it has to be 10s of thousands. But, let's just say its only 10,000 dashboard users (I'm sure there are more). That's $360,000 a year to maintain a small piece of software. lol<br> Just my little rant. I won't be using the Kubota's dashboard anymore. But love the actions I own and will use them. Wish I had bought more before this dashboard subscription thing came out.</p>

<p>That's what I'd do, shoot with a 50mm and get closer. Take one for the team and get bit a few times. :)</p>

<p>Doesn't seem too "not sharp" to me. However, if it were me, the first thing I'd try to change is the shutter speed. 160 doesn't seem fast enough with a long lens (depending on how study you are). As a rule of thumb, I always try to shoot just above the longest focal length of the lens. For example, 250 for a 200mm. </p>

<p>We have had negative degree weather here for the last week or so. I too get bored so I normally shoot out my back door in an attempt to capture some of the local (boring) wild life. <p>Since photography is basically light, the first thing I look at when planning a shot is the lighting. What direction the light is coming from and its intensity is taken into consideration. If that light will not do what I'm trying to accomplish I either come back when its lit differently or try to control the lighting myself with either reflectors or external lighting.</p>

<p>I would think it is the time of day that gives the different colors and look you are talking about. However, Craig is correct that it would be extremely difficult to duplicate.</p>

<p>Some very good advice here Stephanie. I was just going to stress some of the points already made. If you plan on charging someone for your services you need more than one camera (I always suggest 3). Other things needed as well, like glass. A good glass collection often can exceed the cost of a single camera. Of course, the good news, once you start collecting that glass, it'll last forever (as long as you take care of it).</p>

<p>Anis, I don't have any images for sale and have wondered myself if any of the images for sale do actually sell. I have no evidence but I got a feeling not many actually sell. Hope I'm wrong and look forward to anyone that sells images here to set me straight. lol</p>

<p>Sorry Micheal, didn't check the link. I should have. Plus, I misspoke. In Windows 10 8 inches and above you can enable desktop mode. Devices smaller than 8 inches will run desktop applications but will not have the ability to go into desktop mode.</p>

<p>Michael, if I may ask. What tablet did you get for $100 bucks? Keep in mind, since it is 8" there will be no desktop if you upgrade to Windows 10. It'll be Windows 10 but look more like Windows phone.</p>

<p>In the past Microsoft made a lot of money from Windows OS licensing. That business model is changing and they are looking to be more of a service type provider. (ie, Xbox music pass, Xbox video pass, cloud service, etc). The free upgrade offer is an attempt to get more people up to date with it comes to the OS.<br> I installed the TP Windows 10 and have been using it for close to a month. All my software packages work (except for my paid virus service but that will change once Windows 10 is released officially). Photoshop, LR and ACDsee all work. </p>

<p>My advice is working with / for another wedding photographer until you get enough weddings under your belt to have images to use AND feel confident to tell clients you have the experience needed to capture their wedding. I got lucky and worked for 5 different pro studios over the years. The work is strictly contract work in that the other studio hires you (your studio) to do a job (mostly weddings) for them. <br> I will admit however, since the other studios keep me relatively busy, I get lazy and don't go out as much as I should to drum up brides for my own studio. You need the motivation.</p>

<p>Did I understand you correctly, you shot them in jpg format? Since you were running them through LR I just assumed you shot them in a raw format. If that is correct, little will help you sharpen an image. As to why they look different in LR versus an exported image, I'm at a loss. Do they look the same in your Mac viewer with the before and after image? Finally, what do you consider "very high iso"? </p> <p>If you want, you can send me one of your high res images and I can take a look at it. et@etphoto.net</p>

<p>Hi Ilia,<br> There could be several different issues causing this. If the images look different, the first thing I'd consider is the software you are viewing your final images in. Try to use something different to view the images. Could be the images are the same but the viewing software displays the final image different.<br> On export, do you have your quality settings in "file settings" set to 100%<br> What camera are you shooting with and at what ISO? +45 on luminance might be a tad too high. Also, why sharpen at 70%? that seems high to me as well. I rarely (if ever) have my sharpening over 20%. </p>
