1.
Other day I was in a camera store chatting with the salesman there about video offered by these DSLRs D7000 and what he said that Nikon and Canon - both have issue with focusing during video shoot and suggested Sony a55 is better - it has something transperant mirror - May be this is Nikon's resolution to that issue which means video from this cameras could be better. Perhaps, they might introduce more cameras with this technology ..

 2.
Folks- was browsing the nikon site and one thing I noticed is for these 50 mm 1.4, 1.8 and also for 85 mm lenses the smallest aperture is 16. I remember earlier it used to be 22 - has anyone noticed this ? Not sure since when this happened and what could be the reason ...

 3.
Personally - I liked this model, however, I think it is not going to feel as rugged for handling like D700 D300s types - more kind of plastic, perhaps, from looks. I was really hoping to have a D300s/D7000 type feel with swivle .. really. Many-a-times I miss my coolpix 4500 .....:(

 4.
Hi there -
Didn't go anywhere out this week, have been busy with work.. So, just now took this shot for today's forum posting .. with Nikon D70s, 70-300 zoom set to 112, f 16, shutter speed 1.5 seconds, tripod mounted ..

 5.
HMMMM, sorry to see that message - Large photo attachment : 1622 * 1149 !!!
I surely did make it something like 700 on width - I use photoshop to make it web-ready.
What could be wrong ? Any thoughts ?

 7.
Hi there folks ! Excellent pictures, as usual there !!
My contribution this week is a little emotional for me - I was getting ready to go out to take some winter pictures and somehow the camera bag slipped from my shoulder and down came with a 'thud' on the wooden floor. When opened, the lens cap was stuck in the filter and filter ring was showing some damage signs on side - had to stuggle to take it out and found that my hoya UV filter that was sitting on the lens for last five years had cracks - but still in the ring... that guy saved my lens and camera - good bye hoya !!!

00Y91i-327805584.jpg.0a3202131855990c8d09999d0b89f7ea.jpg

 8.
No way, digital files will NEVER degrade - except as pointed already by some folks if it is not lossless JPG file. If you are finding difference in what you saw earlier and what you are seeing today in those pictures, first question is - are you using the same computer hardware and software to view those pictures ? It is quite possible that same file would look different on different computer systems. Just go to bestbuy where different HD TVs are mounted on the huge wall and look at those from distance and you will be notice what I am saying...

 9.
HMMMM - folks! need some help, please. I just now posted my Pink Grass and the colors don't seem to be as I saw those on my monitor at home. Any specific tips for putting pictures on the web ? Thank you in advance.

 10.
WOW ! Some very nice pictures there !! I liked the one particularly of this frozen fall very much. I have been dreaming of going to Niagara sometime for that :) My contribution this week is a picture I took in California last May I think - not sure if it was some specific type of grass or how, however, it was a nice color combination created by that pink color - Nikon D70s, 28-105 Nikkor ..

00Y0xA-319937584.jpg.f9a15d49684745b199b147760e4e8ce3.jpg

 11.
I fully agree with Victor. I would love to have a swivel display. Before I got my D70s - its already four years now - I had Coolpix 4500 and really miss that pattern. At B&H, D7000 is temporarily unavailable for quite a long time - I am hoping Nikon is already introducing D7000s with that swivel display... :)

 12.
Based on the inputs that D7000 can give max 6 FPS whereas D300s gives 8 FPS.
In such cases, is it possibility to use the video mode and select single frame from the video shoot ? What is the editor that can be used for the video shot with D7000 ?

 13.
My question might seem a bit off-topic for this particular posting, however, I am finding that D7000 is temporarily unavailable for quite a long time at B&H. Curious if anyone has any insights on it ..
