i like the idea but the off centre focal point makes the eyes flicker back and forth
-
would appreciate critique on this difficult night time shot of a
forest with lights filtering through it.

a cleaner exposure 10 years later but the moon is still distracting (esp. the reflection)

the good: love the sparkling water and the sultry looking silhouette of the girl
the bad: the composition makes the eye follow the poles of the shade down to the bottom of the picture to find... nothing. it also splits the frame in two with the girl on the left and nothing to the right. If you use the rule of thirds there is nothing of feature in the correct spots.

I have been trying out the RAW setting on my 300D and am really
please with the level of flexibility it offers for post-processing.
This is one of my earliest RAW conversions and I would be very
appreciative of any constructive critique / hints / tips.

When we do get a hot summer in the UK it really makes it all
worthwhile. I took this shot from the roof just after sunset as the
moon was rising (in the opposite direction) and I think it was Venus
visible in the after glow. Would appreciate your valued opinions.

would really like some feedback and critique on this photo. I want
to better my technique and get some tips from the experts out there.
Let me know whatyou think and what could be done better. Cheers

Am really getting into the whole macro business. Am experimenting
with a friends EOS 300D. Would like your opinions and critiques. Any
helpful tips out there from the macro experts / enthusiasts would be
greatly appreciated.

My first attempt at using macro lens for up close study of a flower.
Would appreciate tips and hints and genuine critique of this photo.

After getting feedback on the original digital photo I have cropped
and edited the image to give it a feel of more space and dreaminess,
I would appreciate you opinions and what I could have done
differently and how to improve, also what you like or dislike about
the photo. Please note that the only camera I had to hand was a
digital camcorder so the resolution is not that great.

I always love the smoke and fire shots. How did you set up the shot initially with the PSP9 editing. What kind of light and from which angle? what was the original background? what speeds and ISO work best and is that with flash or not? e-mail me as I want to try my own and need a start point

I really like the splashes of colour from the horns, against the mainly white bodies of the cattle. Can almost hear them lowing and the sounds of the cowbells. lots of energy/life captured here.
-
I love the curve in this picture. nicely composed. nice color separation also. fantastic

I think this is probably one of your best B&W pieces. love the slow water and the mist.

Sunrise can be more spectacular than sunset, just means you have to
be awake for it. Would like to know what you think of this sunrise.
Tips and hints for changes would be much appreciated.

can't think of any way to improve this, it is a fantanstic shot, nicely framed and with great colours and contrasts. nice work

I was trying to get the contrast between the dead tree in the
foreground and the live grasses/brush in the background. What do you
think? I know the scan is a little low in quality but what about the
overall composition and framing? Any tips, or changes you would make?

This is a wonderful shot but if feel the movement of the clouds detracts from the overall composition. The rest of the photo has a stillness to it that speaks of serenity. The sky has blurred clouds that seem a little chaotic.
