  1. For example, Nikon used battery EN-EL10 on about 17 Coolpix models. The mentioned seller sells a charger for it, and that charger's ebay listing informs us, more or less, that the mentioned Nikon battery is compatible with the following batteries: Fuji NP45, Olympus Li-42B, Pentax D-Li63, and Kodak KLIC-7006.
  2. Have a part number, like Nikon UC-E6, for a USB cable? Want to know if the same style of cable is sold by brands other than Nikon? Want to know which cameras that style fits? I happened to run across an ebay seller that seems to supply such info with each USB cable that it sells, and that seller seems to sell a good assortment. (For example, the Nikon cable mentioned is not a proprietary design, as some have said.) Have a part number, like Sony NP-FM50, for a camera or camcorder battery? Want to know if the same model of battery is sold by camera brands other than Sony? Want to know which cameras and camcorders that style fits? I happened to run across an ebay seller that seems to supply such info with each battery that it sells, and that seller is the same seller mentioned above for cables. (There used to be an ebay seller called BatteryArc that supplied such battery info, but that seller went away.) I am not advertising here. I'm simply informing readers that the mentioned seller's ebay name is: Centenex
  3. <p>In a nearby forum, Craig Shearman posted a comment about the time-or-date stamping option:<br> "<em>A date stamp is certainly useful for identifying the date of old pictures. But IMHO it ruined many otherwise good photos. Nothing I would ever want in any serious photo.</em>"<br> I agree, Craig, but did the operator not always have the option of turning the stamping <strong>off</strong> for an important photo?</p>
  4. <p>This is intended merely as a brief retrospective on <strong>35mm film point and shoot</strong> cameras.<br> Manufacturers of them seemed race to make them more and more automated. (Maybe they even overdid that.)<br> ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------<br> Question 1: Which particular automated features of theirs, if any, did you definitely <strong><em>not</em></strong> care for?<br> Question 2: Which two or three models, if any, were your favorites? (And do care to say why?)<br> ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------<br> As for me, I want a time-or-date stamping option, and some sort of real LCD (not just an LCD for time or date).<br> And while it is still my turn:<br> Answer 1: I do not like the way most of these cameras auto rewind the film <em>completely</em> into the film canister.<br> ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------<br> Now it is your turn.<br> (If you are tired of answering questions like those, please post a link to where you <em>already</em> answered them.)</p> <p>Thanks,<br> Dave in Kansas.</p> <p> </p>
