actually, upon review - I agree with you, a tad to much negative space. Thanks...it often takes an experiment to realise this. I am a fan of negative space but yeah a touch too much
-
Thanks :D Yeah I like negative space, and with the way the light falls I feel its about right, although I value your input, thank you.
Logo ? yeah, for copyright. Best be safe.
thanks again :D

hiya, I only have a years exp mucking round with a camera, but i am
HOPEFULLY going to take this further this year and go "pro" as it were.
There is a lot more to learn but i am getting there. thanks for your thoughts
:D

appreciated as I am training to go pro this year :)) x
-
thanks guys, :)) no not dust or noise or anything bad.....its simply glitter !!! we were playing with it prior to this shot and she got some on her face !! heheh

hiya, I am experimenting with B&W conversions so would really love some
feedback please ? I chose quite high contrast becuase the little girl is fairl
dark skinned and had lovely dark hair and eyes....I recently did a
conversion for my son who is blonde and it was FAR more subtle. Would
you agree this is the right approach and do you like the finished
portrait....oh BOKEH is natural, aperture was 1.8

I would really value your comments thank you :))

NOTES and comments appreciated :D

her expression is lovely, and the light falling against her face is beautiful, as is this beautiful little girl. The one thing i would say is, maybe you should have shifted the camera over to the left more so not to crop out the side of her head....it needs more width on the left. Cute picture though :))

artistically, this is brilliant x

Hiya, i am new to photography and portraits but have begun to take it
seriously having developed a website and facebook page. Google round

picture and my portraits in general. I am hoping to go pro this year and I
would love some advice. thank you xx

Hiya, I took this picture only a few weeks ago in the darkness of my bedroom in rural West Wales, UK. I have only been taking pictures for a year and won the UK national photography competition in conjunction with METRO newspaper and SONY awards 2013. The picture that won is featured in my portfolio I think. Its of the horse in a frosty field. This picture was taken as I felt like mucking around a bit with long exposures. The exposure was 6 seconds at F.16 (I think), and this is straight off camera result. I think i was quite lucky to guess the exposure about right. A year in, i have definately caught the photography bug and hope to be taking up at a professional level very soon. thanks for comments etc xxx :)

many thanks, xx

I took this earlier today. i have fiddled with it a little in post processing
because snowdrops are so delicate I needed to make it stand out a little
more. thank you - x

WOW !! Well, brilliant work, technically excellent too....an inspirational shot...I will keep my eye on what you upload from here on in :)) xx
-
I think its a beautifully serene image and well "seen"...
-
i keep coming back to this image.....i would love to know the ins and outs of how you achieved it? but maybe you want to keep this a tight knit secret, which would be understandable. Either way, it really is a brilliant MACRO, and in my honest opinion, I think it deserved a place on the winners list for the recent contest - I think it better then the one which came first xxx
-
This is a brilliant macro and well deserved winner !!! :))

lovely colours Larry, beautiful post processing. (wonky horizon and sun not centre though). Thats the one critism.....nice lighting and colours though xx
